Did you know that at present for the cost of only £2 for a single trip you can take a bus trip in any direction from Wells?

Now is a great time to get out on a bus so why not give it a try this week?
Maybe you’ll find the resulting lack of stress and the pleasure of being able to look at Somerset’s beautiful countryside something you want to do a lot more of.
And knowing you’re doing something to reduce carbon in the atmosphere will surely add to your enjoyment.

Now, where to go? At £2 you may be able to get north, south, east AND west over the coming weeks -
North to Bristol, Bath, Radstock, Chewton Mendip, South to Glastonbury, Street, Yeovil, Taunton; East to Shepton, Frome; and West to Cheddar, Axbridge, Wedmore, Bridgwater. And it’s often cheaper than parking costs too.

376 to Bristol  to Street, via Wells and Glastonbury is a very handy bus as it runs every 30 mins - other buses are available, just look to the bottom of the post for the bus numbers and click the button for online timetables.

You can enjoy the view of the countryside not the car in front when you take a bus

Raise Your Voice

WBUG or Wells Bus Users Group has set itself the target of improving bus travel between Wells and the surrounding villages and nearby towns.

Contact the Wells Bus Users Group by emailing Rosa at Rosakell@aol.com

Many of the councillors in Wells City Council, local Parish councils and Somerset County Council pledged their support for better buses in Somerset.
They committed to increasing the per capita bus expenditure from £5.77  to the average of neighbouring counties - that is an increase of £4.23 per capita.

They need to be constantly reminded of their pledge to Somerset Bus Partnership‘s  manifesto to ensure we have a viable bus service serving the needs of the local communities at a reasonable cost. So that Bus Week turns into Bus Month and then Bus Year!!
