A Fun Day Exploring What We Can Do For Our Environment
Come and join us and our friends from the Wells Environment Network next Saturday at the Portway Annexe between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Mayor Tanys Pullin will open the event which is being hosted by Wells City Council
We’ll be there sharing information about how to reduce your carbon footprint and save costs on daily living.
We’ll have representatives from Repair Café, Freecycle, our Clothing initiative Repair, Repurpose and Revive and the rewilding project at Tor Hill Lane.
Come and find out about our new Clothing Swop Shop and the Community Fridge.
You’ll find us in the Cursley and Dodd rooms and if that’s not enough, pop into one of the neighbouring rooms for:
Garden Tips talk 11.00 am and 1.45pm
Cycle Safety talk at 1pm
AND meet the representatives from:
Wells and District Wildlife
Strawberry Line Supporters Group,
Blue School, and several others.
There’s even a TV loop of short videos produced here in Wells.
Junior Schools’ Posters competition- selected by well-known local artists Chris Lee, Edgar Phillips and Fiona Campbell. You can choose the ones you want to win on a Peoples vote- winners will get book token prizes.
Trishaw- what is that? Come and see the first one in Wells! Learn how the project will bring joy to many isolated elderly.
